Inventors: There must be something about Domestic Appliance Inventors

Yesterday, I mentioned some useful advice for inventors on the Dyson website. James Dyson is a remarkable man and the Dyson site contains some fascinating information about him and his interests. He is not, however, the only remarkable man in his industry. I mentioned in passing that my wife had bought an Oreck and chanced upon the story of David Oreck the founder of the Oreck Corporation. His life story is pretty remarkable too. Lief is hard for independent inventors on both sides of the Atlantic but it is by no means impossible.
