The company that brought American Idol to the world's TV screens has advertised for contestants for a new reality TV series for inventors. The show is advertised for the new year and will star Simon Callow. Its avowed purpose is to find America's best new invention.
To save themselves the humiliation of being beaten by foreigners, entry to this competition is restricted to US citizens and permanent residents. The contest is to be staged in 8 different cities around the USA. The top prize for the winner is US$1 million.
